Eguisheim is a common in the Haut-Rhin department in Alsace. It is ranked as one of the twenty-four most beautiful villages in France, and is famous for its typical houses, mostly half-timbered, which are covered with a flower decoration.

The town was awarded the title of "preferred French village" in 2013 by the France2 TV channel, making it a tourist highlight.

High quality Alsace wine is a speciality of Eguisheim.. The town is still largely German-speaking, in fact, a dialect called Alsatian.
