A popular wooded walkway along the banks of the River Lee - known as The Marina for over 100 years it was originally called the Navigation Walk and was planted with hundreds of elm trees which matured over time. Unfortunately these were ravaged by Dutch Elm Disease in the 1970s and only the oak and some other trees survive along with trees planted to replaced the felled elms. Still a very popular riverside walk.
