Saint Mary's School was founded by the Jesuits in 1864, offering schooling for boys. The school comprises of three main sections, viz. the junior school (grades 1-4), the middle school (grades 5-6), and the high school (7-10). Also within the school is Saint Anne's Church, two major fields, an auditorium with a balcony, and a teacher's residence.
The school's famous alumni include Farrukh Bulsara, more commonly known as Freddie Mercury, bandleader of the world famous classic rock band Queen.

  • I have been in St. Marys school in 1943 & left in 1951 to go to st. Peters school Mazagoan,in 1950 & I loved my St. Marys school,I had learned my soccer over there,now Im in my 78th.yearm & live in Australia,brisbane. Terence.

  • WE THREE MERRITT BROTHERS TYRONE KEITH AND RICHARD STUDIED HERE FR RIBES WAS ALSO VICE PRINCIPLE WE USED TO HAVE FUN DURING THE SUMMER HOLIDAY CLUB EVENTS I LIKED THE CHAPEL ON THE 2 FLOOR IT WAS NICE TO SEE THE BOARDERS PLAY GAMES NICE MEMORIES I LIKED THE CHOIR AT MASS THEY WERE GREAT I REMEMBER JAL PARDIWALLA
  • That was my school in thirties & forthies I remember those early years when I learn't to smoke, we used to go in our tea break & lunch break on the railway lines where there were trains under repairs, it was safe as no trains use to run as it was not a train station, now I'm 83 years, then I was about 14 years old. Thank God for lovely years I can remember.
