Admissions Policy
Preference for admission to Blessed Sacrament School is extended to children whose parents are active members of the parish and who contribute regularly (a minimum of $11.00 per week, as of close of calendar year 2006) to the support of the Parish through the use of the weekly envelope system. Students of parishes of Region 23 may also apply if there is no vacancy for a particular grade in their parish schools. Non-Catholic students are welcome at Blessed Sacrament School provided vacancies are available and they live within the parish boundaries. Children of other faiths are expected to be present for and participate in religion classes and liturgical celebrations since we do not have special supervision during these times.
Children must be three years old by December 1 and toilet trained in order to enter the Nursery program. Children must be four years old by December 1 in order to enter the Pre-Kindergarten program. Children must be five years old by December 1 in order to enter the Kindergarten program. Original birth and baptismal certificates must be presented at registration time.
Transfer students in grades one through eight will be admitted only at the beginning of the school year unless a change of residence occurs after the school year has begun. Students are ordinarily not accepted into the eighth grade.
