This is Scranton's Hill Section neighborhood, which is home to Nay Aug Park, the campus of the University of Scranton, Community Medical Center, Moses Taylor Hospital, Mercy Hospital, Mansour's Market & Cafe, John J. Audubon Elementary School, and Prescott Elementary School. Formerly one of the city's most affluent neighborhoods, the area still has a lot of stately homes and tree-lined streets. Many homes have off-street parking via rear alley access. The neighborhood is very densely-populated and is home to a thriving Jewish community as well. Once a haven for crime in the 1990s, the Hill Section has been and is continuing to undergo gentrification due to the revitalization of Nay Aug Park and Downtown.
