The Matthews Netball Centre has been the home of netball since 1961, it was originally named after a hard working, persistent volunteer who was key in gazetting the land from the WA Government. Competitions have been run at Matthews every year since. It has been the office for the State body for decades, hosted the World and National championships and as such is pivotal in the history of Netball in Western Australia.
