  The village of Noitgedacht does not extend to include the former site of Essequibo Island Secondary School. Noitegdacht begins on the lower side of the border from the cemetery and ends at the Junction leading into Maria Johanna. The village of Arthurville runs from upper side of the border from the cemetery and extends all the way to Major Coaka. If you are walking from Noitgedacht Coaka (Switch Coaka) towards the cemetery (East to West direction), then Arthurville is on your right and Noitgedacht is on your left. The village of Fredericksburg begins at Major Coaka and ends at the bridge at Chine's Coaka. The former location for the Secondary School sits in Fredericksburg. The old launch motorboat terminal (that transports between Leguan & Wakenaam) sits in Fredericksburg. Hence, the reason for the school being built in Fredericksburg. Students from Leguan attended the Secondary School in Wakenaam, when there was no Secondary School in Leguan. In fact, the school was originally built to serve all the Islands of the Essequibo River, Leguan Island being more populated of the islands (apart from Wakenaam), so the school's close proximity to Leguan Island.
