  • South Scarle is a beautiful village about a mile and a half from Collingham. The ancient parish church, built of local stone, is dedicated to St Helena, mother of the Emperor Constantine. The church was heavily restored in 1870-71 ans in 1977 a parish room was created out of the old North Aisle. Te tower contains a melodious ring of five bells, four of which date from the Civil War era, which were last rehung in 1989-90.
