  • Provincial Capitol of the Hei Longjiang Province. Famous for its brave women who are willing to dress in the newest fashions; Harbin sausage and beer and the annual Snow and Ice festivals. The city is south of Siberia and maintains a long and cold winter. It is also the home to the Dragon Tower and the Memorial for Unit 731 of the Japanese Imperial Army that conducted human experiments during WWII.
  • Under Balhae Kingdom Period, the city was called Deoklijin (Hangul : 덕리진 Hanja/Hanzi :德理鎮)
  • Where is Unit-731?
  • I was born in this city in 1943, son of russian imigrants. This city was founded by russians and the city started with the railway station, in order of Transsiberian railroad to maintenance of the trains that passed trough Mandjuria, originl name of the province. That is why the language speaken is the djuhg - go - hua. Djung came from Mandjugo - that came from Mandjuria. I am impressed with the grewth of this city - it became very big now. I hope to visit it some day. But I do not believe to recognise someplace. I believe that everything have changed. But I am happy that the city in whith I was born is now this prosperous and big city.
  • Under Balhae Kingdom Period, Balhae was a part of China
