Ketton Cement Works commenced operation as a wet process plant in 1929. The much more efficient dry process is used on the current kilns. Kiln 7 (bottom) started in 1977 and makes around 1000 tonnes of cement clinker per day. Kiln 8 (top) started in 1985 and makes around 3400 tonnes per day.
