residential neighbourhood, former train/railway station
A 1990s housing development on the site of the first Epsom Downs railway station. When originally built, the station had nine platforms to cope with the passengers for racing at Epsom Downs - especially "The Epsom Derby". In 1989 the site was sold for development of houses, the original station demolished and a new station built 300m up the shortened line.
