stone, interesting place, bridge
In the middle of Arklow is the Nineteen Arches Bridge built in 1759. Designed by Andrew Noble, it is the longest stone arched bridge in Ireland, and one of the longest in Europe.
Interestingly, because of construction and improvements in the area - only 17 1/2 arches are now visible!
