Loto (often misspelled Roto on maps) is the central of the three villages on the island of Wale (Pukapuka). It is the seat of Pukapuka Island Council. Loto means "central" - the original village name is Kotipolo. In daily life, the islanders frequently call it Malike or Amelika (America); especially in sports competitions between the villages, the villagers use the name and flag of America.
