History of village as believed by the habitants:
Way back in 15th century the place was covered with dense forest and endowed with plenty of natural resources and wild life. No one was daring to venture into it due to fear of wild animals. Once a cow from nearby kingdom made its way into the forest for milk ablution of god Hanumantha statue mounded in between the termetorium. This continued for few days, once a cowherd observed the event and followed the cow and he was astonished to see the transcendental knowledge of cow, he decided to worship the god Hanumantha and continued to do by settling there. Over time the habitants increased in number and the place got the name “HALUGONDANAHALLY” means village found out of milk. (By Lakshmish)
