Second World War 1939-1945, shipwreck, submarine
U-36 was a German Type VIIA U-boat of World War II. She sank two vessels in her career,the SS Truro and the SS Silesia. She was sunk on December 4, 1939 by the British submarine HMS Salmon. Salmon then fired one torpedo at her. All hands were lost.
