Founded in 1995, the New Humanitarian Institute was the first nongovernmental educational institution in Elektrostal. The institute was developed on the basis of the already-existing Foreign Language School, which continues to operate successfully as a division of the institute. In 2004, the Institute received state accreditation and was expanded to include a design faculty. The full scope of the Institute goes beyond foreign language instruction to encompass all aspects of "Linguistics and Cross-cultural Communication."
