Mountain Splendor

Logo Turracherhöhe From late May through November the picturesque town of Turracher Höhe at an altitude of almost 1.800 m above sea level presents a magnificent pageant. The scenic interplay of the high peaks and the three idyllic mountain lakes Turracher See, Schwarzsee and Grünsee makes it a place of outstanding beauty.

Austria's largest pine wood forest The Turracher Höhe is surrounded by Austria's largest Swiss stone pine forest. Stone pines count among the extremely rare species of conifers, growing in specific altitudes around the tree line. The Swiss stone pine is a slow growing, compact, extremely cold-hardy tree which can reach an age of 1000 years.
