  Sungai Genaan is comprised of (5) main longhouses namely Rh. Suring, Rh. Lepan, Rh. Along, Rumah Pata and Rh. Aran. At present the estimated population of Sungai Genaan is nearly 700 . At present most of the longhouse occupants worked as farmers as their main economy activity and with the recent establishment of palm oil estate in Sungai Genaan known as Ladang Sungai Pandan (Phase 4) developed by a west Malaysian company known as YP Nominees Holdings Sdn. Bhd. most of the longhouses folks has engaged themselves in a various post in the abovementioned palm oil estate. Recently, the occupants of Sungai Genaan has established area development committee (ADC) to plan and facilitate the (NCR) lands belonged to the longhouses folks in order to turn the land into a gold mines. Hence, co-operation and unity amongst the longhouses folks is necessary to upgrade the living standard and economic gains of the longhouses folks.."For The Betterment Of Our Future".........Gayu Guru Gerai Nyamai !
