The Ritz-Carlton Budapest (Budapest)

Constructed 1914-1918 as an office/apartment building for the Adria Insurance Company. Badly damaged in WWII, it was rebuilt as the Budapest Police Headquarters. The police left in 1997 and the building was converted to a luxury hotel. It opened in 2000 as Le Meridien Budapest. It was given the temporary name of Elizabeth Park Hotel on 9/1/15 while undergoing renovations, before reopening as The Ritz-Carlton Budapest in 2016
