Gekpatlavuk (also Gëkpatlaukh, Kok-Patlauk, etc.) is one of the largest active mud volcanoes on the eastern Caspian coast. Its slopes are wholly covered with erosive channels, cut by the methane-rich muddy fluids that ooze from the center.
