  • 15 KM is not a significant distance. What the government needs to do is to provide a proper road. Currently it is a state highway with two way traffic, and very dangerous, as different types of vehicles ply at speeds ranging from 5 km per hour (bicycle vans) and 120 km per hour. To make it a proper business district, a. Roads need to widen b. Separate conduit for bicycles, and other slow vehicles c. 4 lane with divider d. Proper highway patrol e. Traffic rules enforcement Also, the tanneries flout all rules by discharging untreated chemicals into the canals. It is a shame that the authorities cannot enforce proper control mechanisms for the tanneries. It is the similar lack of vigilence by the government, which caused the Bhopal Gas Tragedy.

  • I moved to Kolkata(CTS) from Hyderabad (CTS). My office was in DLF, Gachibowli so I had a complete different perspective of IT offices. But, to my disgust, what I felt after reaching Kolkata and visting Sector - V and Bantala office was disillusioning ! In sector - V roads are noarrow and riddled with holes, not to mention their plight in the rainy season; tall buildings were erected without any regard to safety or beauty. It felt to me that Bantala office was an exile. No provision for food and other means of transport. I left Kolkata within seven days and retuned Hyderabad not go back that Hell again !!!
  • The worst possible place for an IT office...only the purest form of idiots can think of making an office building here...it seems that cognizant peoples' brains are filled with scrap leathers which is very much available in bantala...
