$20 million redevelopment project which lead to the demolition of two abandoned industrial buildings and the former Rodano's Restaurant (which has now relocated two blocks to the south on Public Square) to make room for a multi-story mixed-use building. Dubbed the "North Main Street Gateway Project," the building was developed by local non-profit Kinship Square and features student housing, retail, and a daycare facility. Demolition started late-summer 2008. The new building opened in October 2009, in time for the new school season.
