Founded in 1982 and located in Jaguariúna since 1985, the Research Unit of Embrapa, certified by ISO 9001:2000, is a unit of reference in environmental management, working with rural communities and the main actors in the production chain. It conducts research for rehabilitation of degraded areas, sustainable use of water resources, biological control of pests and diseases. It also develops biosafety studies in environmental, biodegradation of pesticides, techniques for use of urban-industrial waste in agriculture, good management practices for aquaculture and actions of education AE.
