Metzler Park is a huge combination day use and camping park located 6 miles Southwest of Estacada, Oregon and approximately 40 miles Southeast from downtown Portland, Oregon. Metzler offers tent camping and RV camping, fishing, hiking, a softball diamond, horseshoes, a volleyball court, a basketball court, hiking trails, playground equipment, a and picnic areas large enough to accommodate up to 100 people. Metzler is broken into three areas: the South campground, the North campground, and the day use area. The day use area offers picnic areas , a softball field, many horseshoe pits, a volleyball court, a basketball court, and a beach area for swimming or fishing. The North and South campgrounds offer the same amenities. Each of camping sites 1-27 and 36-70 offer water and electricity in addition to a picnic table and fire pit. An RV sewage dump station is located near camping site 70 Metzler Park. All camping sites are open to either tent camping or RV camping. Overall the park is very well landscaped and maintained. Open May 1 to September 30. Reservations are recommended and must be made no fewer than 14 days in advance.
