  • Hello All! Bula Vinaka!! As a child I heard my father talk about Naqara Island. He is the late Fred(erick) A. R. Morrell son of Victor Horace who owned the island along with his three brothers and sister, May Work (nee Morrell). (I believe). In fact, my family visited a few times with other members of the Morrell clan. Actually, my brother, Hollan Morrell knows a lot more and after reading some of the comments I am compelled to follow up on the history of ownership of this island and the island in general.

  • My grandfather was Michael Morrel. I’m quite confused looking up my blood lines. I recently got a DNA done, and it has French blood lines but reading Morrel research it says Morrels originated from England and crossed the seas to Fiji. I keep the only picture of him on my piano to remind of my heritage. Hello family
