During the occupation of the Golden Mount POW camp was located, initially only for the Poles, and later for the Russians, and finally from 1943 to the Italian prisoners of war. The pit road near the top of the highest hill (281 m) is located plaque in honor of the ten thousand victims of fascism, who died in this camp.
