Koprena (Salt Lake) was an important commercial port in the Byzantine era and throughout the period of Ottoman rule until the early 20th century. The old buildings of the port have been restored and house the Museum of Natural History and fishing activities and for operation Centre for Environmental Education and a small guesthouse. At the Lighthouse Museum Lighthouse Koprena works.
