Another traditional pub ruined by a renovation in the early 90s. Many locals were used as extras in the filming of the movies Ryan's Daughter, Braveheart, and the execrable Far and Away. The pub features a 'wall of fame'. Even though it has lost most of its character, the view is absolutely magnificent from this pub, and it claims to be the 'nearest pub to America'. Also features guesthouse accommodation and a holiday chalet for hire.
