Tay-Linh Church was relocated on this piece of land of the regional field which was called Tích Điền (Reserved Rice Field). People grew all kind of vegetables and rice until late 1960's. Archdiocese of Hue acquired the land and built this Church to accomodate the growing number of Tay-Linh parishioners. The site of the old Church (St. Hồ-Đình-Hy) along the Ngự-Hà river was then developed and transformed into an educational institution for primary and secondary students.
