Rudabánya is a town in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county, Hungary. It has a polulation of 2,888 people (2004).
Hungary's only mine of iron ore was here. Iron ore was mined near the settlement in the Middle Ages, too.
The town has a gothic calvinist church from the 14th century. The remains of the 12 million years old anthropoid ape (Dryopithecus brancoi, formerly called Rudapithecus) was found here.
