Known as Kanjrur Dattan, it was stronghold of the Datt clan before 1947. Diwan Laxmi Chand who owned most of the land of the tehsil lived here. It had DAV High School and an important market for the area. Famous bollywood star Dev Anand hailed from a nearby village and so also the famous Tabla player Alla Rakha and his son Zakir Hussain also came from another village nearby.

I meet with Master Saleem Shad Bhatti sb and have good meeting about kanjrur history. I meet Fahad Choudhary who also provide information.Mr Qayoom Khan (oxford Grammar School) is doing very good work and giving quality education. I spent 3 weeks and enjoyed there. I visit union council office meet with Mr Abdul Majeed ( Naib Qasid) and Mr Muhammad Asif they were very helpful.
