Tsing Yi South Peak (Hong Kong)

China / Hongkong / Quanwan / Hong Kong
 mountain, summit

334m

The South Peak of Tsing Yi Island is the highest point on the island, affords wonderful 360 degree views of Hong Kong SAR including Tsing Ma Bridge, Ma Wan, Peng Chau, Cheung Chau, Lantau, Lamma and Hong Kong islands and has a red obstacle light visible to aircraft passing overhead on approach to Chep Lap Kok. The south peak is reached via an extension of the path that links the middle peak with Ching Hong Road. Be Warned! The path is very very steep in places with a very long sustained climb and only suitable for the genuinely fit and healthy. Take lots of water if you attempt it and avoid thunderstorms. The views are first class.

  • I remember coming here for picnic when I was young. It was so isolated and remote then!
