This is a Nan governmental organization initiated by some village women to help the poor among them,and they named it as PODUPU SANGAM.Women meet at every week to save money which could be used for helping the poor.The place shown over here is head office kind of thing for the orvakal mandala podupu sangam.Various secretaries of village will organize a meeting to discuss about the people who are in need for money and problems faced by the poor in their respective villages and also about how to tackle with those.Every villge will be having 15 to 20 podupu groups depending on the population.Each podupu group will have10 to 15 lady membersand aslo a Book keeper(either male or female).SMELK is kind of training and boarding center for the visitors who come over here to learn about how the podupu is doing best.
