One of the best specialist children's hospitals in the UK. The building was designed by John Dodsley Webster, who was also a founder and chair of the first management committee.

It was announced on August 1st 2006 that Yorkshire's only dedicated Children's NHS Trust will be the first in the UK to enjoy Foundation Trust status.
