Black Bridge

United Kingdom / England / Chippenham /
 bike path, bridge

An old disused railway line with a broken bridge (a new bridge has been built across the river, but the remains of the old one are still visible) nice spot for a walk or picnic by the river.
A branch line of the Great Western Railway from Chippenham via Stanley Bridge Halt and Black Dog Halt to Calne (closed following The Beeching Report in 1963).
The bridge is just 500 metres or so from where the River Marden joins the River Avon.
