The Seven Sisters is a mountain formation on the island of Alsten in Alstahaug kommune (municipality). Easily seen on the coast of Helgeland region, the Sisters are seven mountain peaks which have a role in the Troll Mountains folklore as the seven (or in some versions seven of eight) daughters of the Sulis King (Suliskongen).
The folklore says that the Seven Sisters and Lekamøya (can't find a good translation) were bathing (without their fathers permission) when the Horse Man came after Lekamøya.
The mountains of the Seven Sisters are: Botnkrona (1072 m), Grytfoten (1019 m), Skjæringen (1307 m), Tvillingene (945 and 980 m), Kvasstinden (1010 m) and Breitinden (910 m).
