  • this is the traditional home of the ojibway indians who continue to occupy theses waters and the surrounding adjacent lands for hundreds of miles. here they carry out their cultural activities including ceremonies to the Gitchi-Manitou who watches over them. Many of the good indians will wear their hair long so that from a distance, the giychi-Manitou will see them, and say, "Look that is one of my many children roaming the sacred grounds...".
