  From 1990 to 1996 I was the Operations Superintendent for the Troop Support facility at Eselsfürth Kasern. Which at the time was the second largest Air Force Troop Issue and Support facility in the world. When Desert Storm/Desert Shield kicked off, Eselsfüerth TISA was tasked to supply mammoth amounts of subsistence support to a large host of deployed units. Myself and all assigned military personnel were subsequently awarded National Defense medals for direct support to to forward deployed units during war time operations.
