Souskiou (Greek:Σουσκιού,Τurkish:Susuz) was a mixed populated village in the Paphos District.Situated in the Diarizos valley, was inhabited since the Chalcolithic period,as a necropolis close to the village indicates.The area of Souskiou belonged to the ancient kingdom of Paphos, and in the Middle Ages was a feud with the name "Sussu".According to 1960 census the village was populated by 323 Turkish Cypriots and 55 Greek Cypriots.

    The Greek Cypriots were forced to drop out of the village due to intercommunal riots during the liberation struggle against the British in the summer of 1958, while the Turkish Cypriots moved to the northern part of Cyprus in 1974, after Turkish invasion.
