The building was formerly a wellness destination favored by royalty and high society seeking the curative and restorative powers of the Ķemeri Sacred Springs. The historic building, originally designed by architect Eižens Laube, and completed in the 1930’s, is being entirely restored, whilst preserving the magnificent original facade and interior.

The building (in 2019) is still under reconstruction and is expected to be unveiled in 2020 or 2021.
Current owner "Arhiidea" Ltd. and SIA Park Hotel Ķemeri (after bankruptcy of previous owner "Ominasis Latvia" in 2013.)
