Time Team have been invited up from the Southern comforts of England to one of the remotest outposts of the British Isles.

We’re on our way to Fetlar, the eastern most of the Shetland Islands.

This is the tiny village of Houbie, this is the village shop and just behind it down this narrow passageway is the back garden of Nick and Lynn Boxall.

Six years ago, Mick was digging in the back garden when he chanced upon some finds made out of soapstone.

These are fishing weights, these are fragments from domestic vessels. Apparently they’re Viking and could be at least a thousand years old. So they wanna know, do they have a Viking house in their back garden?

And that’s not all, just three quarters of a mile away is the most famous and enigmatic Viking site on the island. This mound, is known as the Giant’s Grave and it’s thought to be a very rare Viking boat burial. If so, is there a Viking in it, with his treasure? We’ve got just three days to find out.
