The Kilternan dolmen dates from the late stone age, about 2500BC and is a single chamber megalithic tomb. The capstone is over 6m long and weighs over 40 tons. It is said to be the second largest dolmen capstone in Ireland. Access is currently difficult due to right-of-way issues.
