This shopping center contained a Penn Fruit store, which was once a mighty Philadelphia-area market chain. Penn Fruit stores were acquired by the Pantry Pride chain in 1975-1976. In 1979, Pantry Pride in turn was sold to Acme. The Acme closed in early 2002 and became a Ross Dress for Less in late 2003. There was a Thrift Drug in the center, a chain which was converted to Eckerd in 1996-1997. The Eckerd closed in 2004 and became a Dollar Tree in 2007.
