  A good selection of real ales and 4 differently themed rooms (Racing, Football, Golf, Rugby?) and an outside smokers corner await the thirsty traveller here. The snug at the rear on the left is a welcome refuge from big screen sports too. Service is excellent and the barstaff tend to wait in line to serve you rather than vice versa, unless it's packed on a Friday or Saturday night. They sometimes crank the real fire up if it's particularly cold, not as often as they perhaps could. Bereft of Charvers, the usual clientelle are teachers, lawyers, engineers and such like.
