viaduct (bridge construction style)
Add category
Probably the largest brick structure in Hampshire, with a total of 33 arches. The viaduct was built by the London and South Western railway to prevent the Didcot Newbury and Southampton railway reaching Southampton. The line was closed by the infamous Dr Beeching and is now maintained by the council. It is currently in a state of disrepair, although there is access.
