Maryland School for the Blind, founded in 1853, is a private, nonprofit school serving children from infancy to age 21 who are blind, visually impaired and multiply disabled. The school serves students from every county of Maryland and Baltimore City. It is important to the mission of the school "to treat the whole child, not just the disability."
