Sean O'Casey Bridge (Dublin)

Ireland / Dublin / Dublin

A pedestrian bridge built in 2005 connecting Custom House Quay on the north bank of the River Liffey to City Quay on the south.

It is a swing bridge with two leaves or arms that can swing open to allow boats to pass. Each leaf is approximately 44 metres long and 4.5 metres wide and weighs around 160 tonnes.

The bridge commemorates playwright Seán O'Casey (1880–1964).
