Crestwood Elementary "Home of the State Insect: The Green Darner Dragonfly" It was constructed during the 1979-80 school year and opened in September of 1980. Crestwood is recognized for nominating the Green Darner Dragonfly as Washington’s State Insect. Governor Gary Locke visited Crestwood to sign the bill into law in 1997.
