{khan Dhama} Ahla is situated on the southern bank of Lower Jhelum canal, about 9 km from Mandi Bahauddin city. It is headquarters of union council Ahla. The union council comprises villages of Ahla, Khewa, Mohabbatpur, Datto Chuher, Chak Deewarka, Beerh Pindi Jharana (Pindi Alehaani), Pindi Alehaani Utlee(upper) and Pindi Alehaani Haithlee(lower), Kot Jharaana, Bagga (also called Bagga Pump{ch aslam sahi ), Kotla Peeran and Kot Admaana. Village Ahla has a Government High School for Boys, Government Middle School for Girls and a few private schools of different levels.
