Narmada Dham , is the actual name of this colony , but it is popularly known as PHE colony only. Narmada Dham was a Name Given by shri Bade Joshi Ji ( An engineer who worked here from 1971 to 2000 as Water Works superitendent) A beautiful place with beautiful people living in. This colony was established in 1975-76, when the first phase of Indore water Supply project was being constructed, There are people without whose name the article about this colony is not complete are Mr Gaud, Mr Biyani, Mr Rathore, Mr B S Joshi, Mr RC Joshi , Mr Sunil Joshi, Mr. Mahesh Mishra , Mr. Suresh Sharma, Mr. S K Khare , Mr. A K Jain etc. Employees other than Engineers are Mr. S M Kothari, Mr. G S Joshi, Mr. Kamble, Mr. R C Nair, Mr Pramod Sarvate, Mr Girish Sarvate, Mr. Kailash Parihar, Mr. Pillai, Mr. D S Khede, etc.People of indore can not even imagine what the able officers and hundreds of employees have contributed to this place. This colony is also known as 2 No colony as the second pumping station of the water supply project is situated here. The colony has beautiful bungalows and quarters. There are people those who are living here for more than 30 years , even before the project was completed. The colony has always been understood as the place of intellectuals in the mandelshwar town. A great place which is a witness of great engineers and their talent, high dedication, and hard work.
